Children's Privacy Notice
How We Protect Your Child's Privacy
Last reviewed: October 17, 2026
When it comes to digital technology for 3 to 6-year-olds, trust is everything. This notice is written in plain, friendly English to explain exactly how Meet Anvi protects your child, what happens to their words and drawings, and why we will never track them or show them advertisements.
1. What Can Children Do in Meet Anvi?
Children use Meet Anvi to explore joyful foundational early learning:
- Letter & Number Tracing: Guided handwriting paths on screen with tactile haptics.
- Spoken Phonics & Counting: Pure letter sounds and interactive counting objects from 1 to 100.
- Bedtime & Read-Aloud Stories: 60 calm, illustrated stories where children can tap any word to hear it pronounced.
- Free Drawing & Art: A calm digital canvas to sketch and color.
- Thinking (Optional in Anvi Plus): Children draw, then explain in their own words what they created.
- Math Wizard (Optional in Anvi Plus): 5-puzzle reasoning and quantity missions with hints from Anvi.
2. What Information Do We Collect About Children?
We collect virtually nothing about your child as an identifiable person.
Specifically:
- No Child Accounts: Children never register, log in, or provide an email address.
- No Real Names: Child profiles use friendly animal avatars (e.g. Leo the Lion, Penny the Panda) or nicknames chosen by the parent.
- No Birth Dates: We only store the curriculum level chosen by the parent (Preschool, LKG, or UKG).
- Only Learning Progress: We store non-personal gameplay progress (stars earned, streaks, quests completed, current learning stop) so your child can switch between an iPhone and an iPad without losing their place.
3. What We Absolutely Never Collect
To keep your child completely safe, our architecture strictly prohibits:
- ❌ No Advertising Identifiers: We do not read Apple's IDFA or Google's GAID.
- ❌ No Precise Location: We never request GPS, cellular tower, or Wi-Fi location access.
- ❌ No Camera or Photos: Meet Anvi never accesses your device's photo library or camera.
- ❌ No Social Features: There is no chat, no multiplayer, no messaging, and no ability for strangers or other users to interact with your child.
4. How Does Thinking Handle Voice Audio?
Thinking is an optional creative speaking activity in Anvi Plus. Here is how your child's voice is protected:
- Microphone Stays Off by Default: The microphone permission is only requested after a parent explicitly turns on Thinking behind the parent PIN.
- 100% On-Device Speech Recognition: Spoken words are converted to text locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's built-in speech recognizer.
- Zero Audio Sent to Servers: Audio is NEVER recorded, saved, or uploaded to any remote server or third-party cloud.
- Entries Stay on Your Device: Your child's drawing, prompt, and transcribed words are stored locally on that specific device. They are not synced to the cloud and cannot be seen by Meet Anvi staff.
5. How Does Math Wizard Use Artificial Intelligence?
Math Wizard provides playful hints when a child hesitates on a puzzle:
- Local On-Device Models: On supported Apple devices, hints are reworded locally using Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework.
- No Cloud AI: Your child's prompts and gameplay are never sent to ChatGPT, OpenAI, Google, or any remote AI server.
- Pre-Screened Content: All hints originate from an expert-curated early childhood pedagogical library.
6. Zero Advertisements and Zero Tracking
Meet Anvi is 100% ad-free:
- No banner ads, pop-ups, or unskippable video commercials.
- No commercial partnerships or branded product placements.
- No third-party analytics SDKs inside the app monitoring your child's behavior.
7. Parent Gate & Verifiable Parental Consent Architecture
To ensure children cannot accidentally access external websites, modify accounts, or initiate commercial transactions, Meet Anvi enforces a strict parent-child boundary compliant with Apple App Store Guideline 1.3 and COPPA Verifiable Parental Consent:
Child Experience Sandbox
Children interact exclusively with offline-capable tracing, phonics, stories, and counting games. No external links, web browsers, or purchase prompts exist in this area.
Multi-Step Adult Parent Gate
Accessing settings, curriculum changes, external privacy notices, or account details requires passing a 4-digit parent PIN or solving an adult mathematical challenge that young children cannot complete.
Verifiable Parental Consent (VPC)
Prior to activating optional Anvi Plus subscriptions or enabling optional microphone features for Thinking, a parent must be in the PIN-protected parent area to switch them on. Subscription purchases are confirmed through Apple's own purchase flow, which can require Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple Account password.
Isolated Parent Dashboard
Inside the parent area, grown-ups configure healthy screen-time timers (e.g. 15 or 20 minutes) that end sessions with gentle animations, manage learning levels, or wipe records permanently.
8. How to Delete Your Child's Data
Parents can permanently erase all learning data at any time:
- In the app: open the Parent Area with your PIN, then use Delete Account (removes the account and every child profile) or Delete All Progress for one child, both under Privacy & Data.
- Online: visit our Data Deletion Request Page or email info@meetanvi.com.
9. Have Questions?
We love speaking directly with parents. If you ever have a question about how Meet Anvi protects your family, write to us at info@meetanvi.com.
